Default Rev limit increase

I have a 2001 sportster sport, so throughout the forums I've read that individuals have a 7500rpm rev limit. I know that I wouldn't probably go passed 6500rpms but I was wondering if their is a obsolete part that is plug and play or is all the ignition set ups not pretty much aftermarket. Also if you have any opinion on the zippers thunderbolt modules. Thanks in advance

the sportster can run to 8k but is it advantageous?
a stock sportster will see no benefit as the curve falls like a rock so there is very little after-peak hp.
they are hard to find now but screaming chicken made modules with diff limits, i have 3.
aftermarket offers much more with adjustable limits and curves. i run the ultima on mine but i made mine plug and play so when the module fails, i can switch back. since i have the sport, i also must change timing cup.

So I guess my second question is since I have the MAP system do i have to replace the module also or can I just install a new ignition sensor and timing cup?

if you use the screaming chicken modules, it works with the map. the ultima needs the voes if you choose to use it. i do not because of clutch off issues so i use rpm base timing. yes, you will need the two window timing cup gold in color, the four window sport cup will not work.
i run modified camming so i can use the upper rpm range as i do not care about the low end, has plenty to ride two up with no issue. the stock sport was 5.4k limit at 120mph.
a big hoot for that machine is a johnson engineering sport gear. i also run int'l secondary gearing, those pulleys are hard to find but there are companies that will make them.
