Default Map vs. Dyno

I'm trying to get a handle on the tuning variables out there and have a couple questions. If you have an Smart tuner, or Auto tune type of a Tuner (SE Smart Tune Pro, FP3, Powervision, etc), would you still need to Dyno tune ? I know a "canned map" can be installed which covers AFR , correct ? Does Dyno tuning provide a more "detailed Map" which is more sensitive to the AFR. I'm confused as to my situation. I have a 2018 RGS with a SEST and SE Smart Tune Pro. Why would I Dyno when a basic Map could be installed. (Also , I have wide band sensors with this Tuner). By the same token, A Powervision or FP3 tuner using a "narrow" band O2 sensor, will they benefit from a Dyno tune, more so than just a "canned Map" ? Am I correct in believing that the Auto tuners adjust for current running environment, MAPs are either basic tuning AFR's, or detailed AFR's from a Dyno tuner ?

Depends on your mods. A good dyno guy can bring the most out of the bike. For basic stage 1 stuff, canned tune is fine.

A Tuner module can certainly get you pretty close to the optimum parameters for the engine's needs but a good Dyno tech can nail it! IOW's, there's no replacement for a dyno tune.

If your going to make more changes to your bike skip the dyno tune for now. Canned tune with auto will get it close.
When your done upgrading dyno will give optimum results, with a good dyno/operator!! But it's not cheap.
