Can anyone tell me if they have installed a PC 3 and then had a Dnyo done, and if the dyno did or did not show that changes were needed to the PC 3 unit to bring it in line. I would like to put on a PC 3 but would a Dyno be needed. They sell the unit as plug and play, but are they that good.
The plug and play is pretty good...I put mine on the Dyno to see how it was, and my map was a little rich, (might have been because I had the Stage 1 HD flash before I put it on). My dealer was running a special so I had them tweak it on the Dyno for me. He tuned both cylinders and I picked up even more than I did from the pre-loaded map.
The Dyno with a competent tuner will get you the best results with any add on tuner you add to the bike. If you buy from Fuelmoto, and you talk to them about what you want and what you bike is doing after you install it, they can and will send you updates that will get you very close to where it would be with the Dyno.
If you buy a PC from Fuelmoto they will supply a map that will be very close to your application. IMHO a dyno will fine tune the map. I gained a few hp/tq with a dyno and feel the bike is a bit more responsive.
The key is finding a good tuner. You may be perfectly happy with the supplied map.
