Starter Hesitation When Cold
1989 FXSTS Pressing the starter button brings a delay before starting when cold, when the bike warms up starts normally. Starter/Solenoid only 2 years old. New Stator Battery Cables and starter relay. Connections are tight and clean. Charging system checks out ok. Any ideas?

how old is the battery?? also, have you checked your timing recently? advanced timing will make it run like a bat out of hell, but can cause this issue. other than that, check all of your connections.

Battery is a year old checks out fine. Timings also fine. (Its hesitation the motor don't turn over right away) I've checked all connections all good. Thanks for the input, nice shovel I have a 78.
