When the temps get cool at night and I fire up my Ultra in the morning, it will sometimes hesitate/pop/spit/ stall for a brief moment and then move on. More often than none it does it just as I am making a turn and it scares the crap out of you.

It is my understanding ithas the wrong injectors in it and they should have beenchanged. I asked the dealer, but they just said it needed a minor adjustment. It still does it.

Everything is stock on the bike. Is it an injector issue?

 

It's a potential issue if you have the 8 degree injectors. You can determine this simply by looking at the part number stamped on the injector. If it has a -06 it's 8 degrees. If it has a -06A suffix, it's the 25 degree injectors. Let's assume you have the 8 degree, the dealer should do some basic trouble checks first to determine if the root cause is related to the injectors (verify the condition, fuel pressure, check plugs, IAC operation, etc.).

 

I had a 06 with the 8 * injectors in it but never had any problems with it. Some do some don't. I think if you compainl about the driving of it they will change them. I had the so called $$$ Stage I download down on mine-that was a wast of money in my opinion. It would still pop in the exhaust, fart back thru the throttle body sometimes. After I changed the air filter to a K&N 3909 put different exhaust on it and Dobeck TFI it ran smooth like it should from the factory. Which is what I am going to do to the 07 I have after I get 1000 miles on it. They did not do the Stage I download on this one.

 

Check you fuel pressure

 

Had the same problem. They put the 25 degree injectors in mine and problem went away. Like you said if it coughs when you are taking off and in a turn it feels like it is going to throw you over the handlebars or dump you over. Keep after them until they change the injectors. Make it a safety issue like I did and they will change them.

 

I've had that happen once or twice both entirely stock and with PC-III and freer-breathing peripherals on my '07. At a stop sign almost exactly one mile of 30± mph distance from the parked bike. It's been quite a while, but I always attributed it to just coming into (what would be) closed-loop mode at precisely the inopportune time.
