I have installed a set of S&S 551 easy start cams. I now have a low idle tick. Goes away at even a little off idle. (barely any throttle at all)
I double checked everything as far as tightness etc. All is good.
Wondering if I should kick up my air/fuel ratio on my FP3? (setting 17) It is set at 0 right now. Bike gets hot FAST.
Wondering if anyone has had experience dealing with this issue.
Typically when you have a low idle tick, it's a weak lifter but with the easy starts it might be the bob weights in the cam that open the exhaust valves.
I have messed with the FP3 air ratio. Didn't fix it.
Max, you might be right, so going to put some lifters in it and recheck all other things. Should have probably done lifters with new cams from the start. ugh
I will let you know what happens.

I had an issue with lifter tick on a 106 twin cam with the Easy Start cams a few years back. After ALOT of time and money, for me the cure was the Axtell bypass kit..
