Plug wire clamp
I personally would fine a scrap of #8 3 wire. Cut and split it for a sleeve . Snug or black RTV to stick it.
When all is good, flat black rattle can it to make it disappear.

This was in 68. It wasn't running very good, especially if it rained.
Worked 2nd shift and an old guy (Mr Green) there who once worked for a Pontiac Dealership handed me a empty spray bottle from the lens cleaning station .
Told me to fill it with water and tonight when I went home, spray the wires while it was running. You could see electric leakage all over them.
Good old fellow. He loaned me his mechanics tools to rebuild the motor.
I ridge cut the cylinders by hand with a hand ground MoMax lathe tool.
Thank you Mr Green. Told me he was the go to mechanic for water leaks in Pontiacs. Told me he would raise the rubber mats and center punch a few drain holes.
Never was sure if he was joking. He knew all the tricks in the toolmaker's shop for sure ..

That's why all plug wire supports are coated or plastic.

that is a good reason to always follow the mfg original routing especially on computer controlled vehicles.
