Default Replacing 32448-95A Cam Position Sensor

I have a 1997 Electra Glide with EFI. The cam position sensor has been melting away the tan colored goo that it's guts are embedded in. For now, the bike starts and runs fine but I know this is a common issue and a tell tale sign that it is time to replace the sensor. I'd rather do so proactively than find myself stranded out on the road. The problem is there doesn't seem to be a suitable replacement available. Especially if I wish to maintain the lean angle sensor that is incorporated into the same component. HD dealers online (Ronnies) show it is discontinued. There are many aftermarket units of various kinds (most would forfeit the lean angle function) but every sensor or system I've found that looks like it might work states explicitly that it is not suitable for EFI models. This leaves me to look for used units on Ebay or similar online. I've found only one used item on Ebay, and it is melting too. Hoping someone has dealt with this and can shed some light on my options. There has to be some.....right? TIA.

you tried going to a dealer and seeing if they can find the part for you? If not, call HD corporate and see if they can find you one nationwide.

I don't believe it's available anymore.. However the Standard Motor Product MC-SPA2 is a direct replacement.. You don't use the slots but the fixed screw holes for fuel injected bikes.... You can get one here.. They work very well..

Default Interesting..

I am probably stuck with this good or bad. I know the cord and deutsch connectors and wire lengths are different between spa1, 2, and 3 versions but I don't know if any of them are correct for my bike. I would think if they were, they would advertise them as a "fit" but they do not. I suppose I can always splice or change pins but prefer a direct replacement of course.

The SPA 2 I believe has the longer leads to accommodate the Dyna platform.. Shouldn't have to splice anything.. Just swap the terminal connector over..
