First question…do you have a Power Commander on the bike?
When and what was the last thing done to the bike? Any electrical work? Connector not all the way clicked together?

Thank you for both of your responses. The sensor coming out of the transmission had the wires previously spliced and switched. Once that was corrected the bike is not showing any codes and seems to be running a lot smoother.

If you are referring to the neutral switch on top of then tranny, Not sure that could

And it makes no difference how that sensor is wired because it is just a make-or-break switch.
Good luck
