I have a brand new 2011 Heritage with 300 miles on it. The bike began missing and finally I can't get it to keep taking the throttle. The check engine light came on. Its at the dealer now and they have a code of P0107 which is the "Crank position sensor". What exactly is that and what do I need to know when I talk to the service manager?
Thanks!
Not trying to be a smart alek, but the crank position sensor is exactly what it is, the Crank Position Sensor...
The bike is under warranty, the only thing you need to know when you talk to the service dept. is did they fix it...
They will explain what they did.

DTC Code # P0107 is "Manifold Absolute Pressure/BARO Sensor Low" and your description of the way the bike runs sounds like a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor. The most likely cause of this code is a disconnected MAP Sensor or an open circuit in the wiring between the sensor and the computer.
These are all of the DTC Codes that can be set for a single CKP Circuit System like your bike has:
P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit
P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance
P0337 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Low
P0338 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit High
P0339 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Intermittent

Thanks for the replies. The dealer called and it was the Map sensor. Said they replaced it and its been running for them without any problems. Lets see how it runs tomorrow when I pick it up.
