Default sert questions

installing a g version race tuner on an 08, i do already have a h cd for 08 though...any problems i may encounter?

The only significant difference is the software version. If I were you, I would get the latest software disk from HD. They cost like $20 and have all the new maps for the 2008's and the closed loop stuff. The earlier versions I don't think have any of the closed loop bias tables.

You need the 'L' version of the software for 08.

i had bought the -h part # and used it on my buddies 07, and i found a -g (being the part# for the tuner,not software) but was going to use my buddies software since it will have the 08 maps. is there no difference in the black box at all?

Not really. It's the software that is the difference.

If this RT has been used on a previous bike, you won't be able to use it on your 2008. It mates to the ECM.
