I've got a 05 RK/custom, the owner put the turn signals on the crash bars, I just mounted a set of passing/driving lights with the lollipop turn signals/running lightson the bottom, question: would it take much to wire the two sets of turn signals/running lightsto work togeather, would it be too much for the stock charging system??
According to my 2004 HD Touring Models Service Manual, the turn signal lamps draw .59 amps each--that's not much additional load.
As for running both sets of run/turn signals, the SM says theRIGHT run/brake wires are: Brown (turn signal), blue (running light), and black (ground). The LEFT are the same color wires for running light and ground, and the turn signal is violet.
I'm no tech or electrical engineer--perhaps others will check in on this. Also, if you don't have the HD Service Manual, it's a good "tool" to have.
