Any ideas on a crimp tool that;s suitable to use for the switch assembly molex connector male and female pins? Pins are 30mm diameter. Of course I can get from local HD stealer or go with something little more simplistic to get the job done.
Can cut existing wires that have the male ends and reuse, but rather not cut and solder. Rather make just make extensions...
Well, my buddies at bike shop has a couple of them. I even had access to the same color coded wires. So, I made out like a bandit. Used a Accel 170036 Wire Crimping Tool which costs around $60.
FYI, I'm just being real **** about doing this job correclty. But, I talked to local HD mechanic, and he told me that if they have to extend wires, they just cut and solder. They don;t bother
making extensions with pins. So I guess, bottom line, it's okay to cut, solder and shrink wrap.
Part number for male and female pins are 72168-07, 72169-07.
