RevTech Spark Plug Wires?
Question. I've got a set of new RevTech 8mm spark plug wires and I was just reading in American Iron magazine that they do not recommend spiral-wound performance wires for "modern EUC" bike. I have an 06 softail. Would I be better off using OEM spark plug wires? I’ve tested the resistance and it is much lower than the sock wires. Isn't that a good thing?

Actually the higher the resistants the hotter the spark because it pulls more out of the coil. Did you ever see the plastic spark plug cap on the metric bikes.....they where resisters to aid in a better spark. However that's all beside the point, the stock wires have an ion sensor running through it to talk to the coil when abnormal combustion occurs and after market wires don't.....so your taking away a protective aid for the ECM to read.

that's good information guys, i was about to order some sumax or revtech plug wires for my 2013 roadglide. the stock ones work great after reading your responses as to how they work.
