I'm riding a 2002 FLHRC. I have pic up a gig escorting funerals on Saturdays. This requires me to use my flashers and cruise at low speeds. By the end of the day my battery is almost dead. I put it on a tender and it comes back to life a couple hours later.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking that it is too much of a load and not enough charge.

you can try converting to LED flashers. but I dont think it will help much because you will need load resistors probabaly to keep them from flashing too fast which will be just about the same load as your current bulbs.

I can't speak for all led's - but the Kuryakyn's specifically tell you not to use the 4-way flashers. The load equalizers will overheat and fry the wiring module. I found this in install instructions while troubleshooting the fact that my turnsignals and brake light had stopped working. Thankfully, they covered my stupidity under warranty.
Don't the Police Fleet motorcycles have a larger alternator to accomodate higher electrical loads? Could you "upgrade" your electrical system.
