My friend has an 06 Night Train and had the 95 upgrade done to it with cams and the whole deal. He had O2 sensors installed. He is running a Terminal Velocity II with Supertrapp X-Pipes and a Forcewinder Dominator air intake. I'm going to guess that the Xieds would not be something that would benefit him but I could be wrong. Any thoughts on this, would they compliment his setup?
Thanks in advance.

I bought and installed the Xied's for my 07 Superglide and am very happy with them so far.

I know this has probably been covered in the previous 38 pages but my screen is getting blurry from reading too much:

I have a 2006 Streetbob and have had a surging issue since the day I bought it. I have done the stage 1 download from harley, SE A/C, vance & hines short shots, and installed a PCIII. The surging is STILL there. I am at a loss as to what else I can do to the bike to make it run as it should at low speeds.

Do you think running the bike with a PCIII and the DYN OiED setup might fix my problem or am I way off? I am open to suggestions.

Thanks

I imagine he had the O2's installed for the Terminal Velocity II which brings to mind the next question, is his Bike EFI, or Carbureted?

The Stock ECU's map was not set up with O2 sensors in mind, so I doubt it has a closed loop like the newer Bikes have, which is where the IED/XIED's do their job.

His bike is EFI and yes, I didn't think of that but I guess it wouldn't have a closed loop like the newer bikes.
He did have the O2 sensors installed in the X-Pipes for the Terminal Velocity II.
Thanks for the help, I think my question has been answered.
Gotta love this thread and this forum.

Here's a question that I don't think has been posed:

Since neither the IEDs or XIEDs have compensated for the difference between the front and rear cylinders, has anyone contemplated using an XIED for the rear cylinder and an IED for the front cylinder?

I know on my 06 Fatboy, I had a PC III USB with V&H Longshots. I richened the rear cylinder on the laptop by a factor of around 8%, IIRC. Seemed to even out the running of the engine even more.

I have no idea if this is feasible or not, or if it might cause the ECM to implode, but for those unhappy with the heat (etc) differences between the front and rear jugs, might this be an answer?
Would someone take a shot at this question, inquiring minds want to know???

Took off my IED's and put on the XIED'sthe other night. I really like the way the Xied's are made. Anyway, rode the bike to work yesterday and today and it was a big difference over the regular IED's. Popping on decel was all gone and i really noticed a difference in taking off from a complete stop. I am using the stock A/C and running 2.0 Rush slipons with my Fat Bob. When i first fired it up, i could tell they were working by the smell of gas being burnt off. If you are on the fence about which ones to get, do yourself a favor and get the XIED's.

I have an '06 Streetbob.

I had checked all the connectors, pipe clamps, etc that would cause a leak of some kind.
Then I installed the new DYN OiED's and when I went to work in the morning the check engine light came on, went off, came on again and went off.
That happened in the first mile of riding.
So when I got to work the codes stated front and rear sensors lean.
Cleared the codes before I rode home.
Checked for codes and found that the front sensor was lean again.
I'll have to double check the connections of the DYN OiED's later today.

I wonder if an ecm from a 2007 or later Dyna would work on a 2006 ?

True Duells and the IEDs and the XIEDs, 08 FLHTCI stock A/C V&H true duells, Super trapp 3" internal disc slip ons. Pulled the plugs and they are white front and rear, no ash, but white, installed the XIEds and and new NGKplugs gapped .042" Set up the stockA/C to vent to ground, made sure now exhaust leaks, which I have none. I have a slight decell pop, played with open end caps on the Super Traps, closed end cap is to quiet for me, have 10 left and 10 right with open end caps, ran the bike over 400 miles and the decell pop is still there and the plugs are white like new, still no ash bike runs perfect and is not hot to ride also have a HD premium oil cooler, been in the high 80s here, I kept changing disc in the super trapps and also tryed the closed end caps but can not richin this combo up, to stop the lean decell pop and also an upshift pop on occassion. This pop is not a loud pop, but its there. In this bike the Xieds are better, it has taken care of everything except the slight pop, Just do not understand how others with the true duells have no pop with larger and more open exhuast. Thanks Doc
