PC III "no map loaded?"

PC III "no map loaded?"
Hey guys, I got my PC III installed and while setting the throttle position, I notice "no map loaded" at the bottom of the screen. I had Jamie at fuelmoto install a map when I orderd the unit. How do I get that map loaded? Or is it ther and I'm doing something wrong? Thanks again for all your guidance

Go to open map file it should be there. If not call Jamie he will e-mail it to you. He is a great guy he will take care of you. I have to order a two pc3 from him on Monday for a 2one for 07 vulcan and one for a 203 bagger for my customers and aset of rush slip ons. He always takes care of me never a prob.

The MAP is most likely installed. If you hook up the PC to your laptop or desktop with the 9v adapter, you need to make sure the 9v battery is virtually new or you may not get a reading of the installed MAP. The PC sucks up the juice on the 9v batteries like theres no tomorrow.

****, you have mail. Also, IF you hook a laptop directly to the unit while on the bike, turn the ignition to on but don't start it. The bike will power the unit without the 9volt on a 2006 model, at least it does on mine. IF it still shows "no map loaded" check saved maps in the software program. IF it isn't there, all you can do is call or email fuelmoto and they will email it back to you.

I found a thread that helped me ensure the map was loaded.I rode the bike last night for the first time after installing true duals k&n RK3909 and the PC III(30 degrees brrr). It ran fine no decel popping but did seem a little flat top end at WOT. It just felt like it needed more fuel to really come alive on top end. I rarely ride that fast or even at WOT but it was very apparent it wanted more fuel. Any suggestions short of a dyno run? EZ2Rider, mine also will power up the PC III without the battery attached.

The same thing happened to me when I went to download a new map that Jamie sent me to improve my gas mileage. When I plugged the PC into my desk computer, powered by the 9V, it said "no map downloaded." So I replugged the usb cable into the second port on my pc, and it worked fine. Good luck.
