Default Throttle "sticking"
My '08 UC has about 400 mile on it, and today it started to over-throttle at idle. I can push the throttle forward manually about a quarter of an inch and it revs down to normal "potatoe" idle but when i release it it snaps back to the higher (about 2k) revs. I don't see an obvious adjustment.

Any ideas?

this would be a great time to have the Chrome "throttle by wire" Wires put on!
No, you can't see them, but you'll know they are there!

Try cycling the power 4 times...with your hand off the throttle. Sounds like the twist grip has learned a bad zero position. Cycling themain switch 4 times with the run/stop switch in the run position will allow the ECM to learn a proper zero.

Always make sure your hand is off the grip when you turn the bike off...this is when it records the zero position voltage.

My 08 SG has done that a couple of times and your correct
to cycle the switch with your hands off the throttle to let it
relern the 0 position.
