Default Interesting Electrical Problem

Went out this am to fire up the bike and when I turned the switchthehigh beam indication light came on but no head light. Turned the high beam switch on thinking that the head light might be burned out but nothing. Hit the start buttom and bike fired up normally, high beam indicator light went out and the head light came on. Has any one experianced this type of gremlin before and can point me to the cause? This is the second time in the past two weeks this has happened. Bike is an 06 WideGlide and has no electrical mods to it other than the Vance and Hines Fuel Pack. Thanks!

Yes, when she fired up everything worked normally. I just took a break from work and checked it in the parking lot and she works fine now. I hate intermittent problems!

Check the high beam switch connections and the wiring to your headlight. Then your battery & ground strap connections. How old is the battery? Oh you said 06 I am assuming the stock factory battery? If you have a volt meter let the bike sit overnight and check the battery to see what the actual voltage is after it has sat overnight. It should read over 12v. It probably is a switch or connection but I have seen some strange issues appear when a battery is going bad.
