PC3 map needed
Hello everyone,
I've got a bad pinging issue with my bike (07 night train) on hard acceleration. The bike has SC stage 1 air cleaner, PC3 and V&H big radius pipes. I can't seem to find a map anywhere. The dealer dyno is booked for what seems like forever. If anyone has a map for this setup I would love to get a copy. Thanks in advance for anyones help..ROB

You might try removing some timing from the RPM ranges where you get the pre Ignition. Note the throttle positions and RPMs and remove a couple degrees of timing using the timing map portion of the PCIII USB.
You can remove up to ten degrees at given points so start with say two and work up. It worked for me with a canned map and tweeking the timing. I have taken eight to ten degrees out at various throttle positions in the 2K to 3.2 k RANGES. IF you can't eliminate it that way , add a bit of fuel in the effected areas.
A sert can actually give even more timing adjustment than the ten degrees. Seems they have really over advanced the timing on late twinkies to meet EPA standards. More than the Ion sensors seem able to compensate for. Mine is an 06 (late) and seemed way over advanced with a stage one download.
