Am I the only one who thinks this stinks. He has a bike, no key, no users manual, and no clue. What are the odds this bike is his? Think about it. Are you helping a hapless owner or an inexperienced thief?

I second that...... Why don't you take the vin # into a HD dealership and tell them you story. If everything is as you say, they should be able to put you incontact with the dealer that sold it new. Each dealer has a specific code that they put in the bikes. Mine did and showed me. It was up to me to change it.

Take your bill of sale and proof of ownership into a dealer and have them get the info for you. Doesn't matter to me where your from.

Sure... Checks in the mail..... Honest I won't *&%^ in your mouth...... Don't be afraid, I'm a doctor.

Sounds a lot like your interested in stealing a bike. If that's not the case, then you shouldn't have any trouble at a dealer.

Sorry, but that's the beauty of the internet. I could jack a bike, get through the ignition and come on a form and try to find a way to crack the security system. You have what 8 posts?? Say your from Europe and that make it understandable??(Way to narrow it down)

"Don't be afraid"...ok now I'm officially afraid.

BTW... There were no Heritage Screaming Eagles in 02

i know it sounds a bit strange to you all who have me for a man who likes hot bikes.
but if you want just to write and quote with "we have a thief" then you better dont weite anything.
i wrote whats my problem, that i bought one and it should have all stuff, and when i got it there was just a bike.
yes it could sound like the bike is stolen, but it ISNT. wanted just help from you. other site is, that i dont have any HD dealership in radius of 500km, thatswhy i wanted to know it from you.
actually i dont know where the bike was sold. i just have the invoice from Klode in Co. but, nothing matters, i am gonna to solve it my way.

PS: those who helped a bit, thanks

Ok... So you bought a bike from some guy in Colorado. An 07 Train with 800 miles on it. No keys, no manual, arrived armed. Did you contact the person you bought it from? Did he give you an explanation on why there wasn't any keys? Can you still get a hold of the guy or did he just vanish??

Did you try contacting HD in Colorado with the Vin#. They're on the net. E-mail them. Did you try that? Even MOCO could tell you which dealer it was sent to. It doesn't seem that you've tried everything to solve your problem.

If you can contact the seller, ask him what the code is. It's sounds like the seller is no where to be found. What was it..a repo? Insurance buy out?? Or did you buy a stolen bike?

i ordered a new one key fob and wanted to assign it, but it fail, ebcause during this operation the security system mustr be off.
That's not why it didn't work. How did you order the fob without theserial number that's #1 on the back of the fob, or #2 on the sticker that's in the original owner manual??

You just can't change things and hope it works. HD is going to ask a lot of questions if you try to order a security mod. They don't just give them out like candy.

There's more to it than you think, but if it's not stolen, the dealer can help you out. If it was easyto do this, you would see a lot more stolen bikes running around. That's why most of them are parted out.

The more I read what's in front of me, the more I get the impression that you want to keep this as far away from any Harley Dealership that you can.

I'm not liking this guys. Do what you want but I would not send anything. This is an easy fix at any dealership. I'm gonna lock this thread.
