Hey guys, looking for some info on canned maps to try on my bike. Anybody with a similar set up have any suggestions. I'm running just like my signature without baffles.I feel like there is more power potential I'm missing. I plan on a dyno run this summer but for now I'd like to try a few canned maps.
I guess you can always try powercommander.com They have different maps there. I tried the one that came preloaded on myPCIII and it was popping like crazy on the decel. I then tried one from the website and same thing. Doc1, looked at my canned maps and tweaked it out, however, it still popopping a little. I'm taking in for a dyno tomorrow. Hopefully that will cure it.
****, your problem (like mine) is that the 06 engines are different from earlier ones, even early 06s, because they have the switch over to 25 degree injectors so earlier maps are too rich AND they had catalyst mufflers and very advanced timing tables to meet the more stringent epa specs.
Canned maps are allmost non existent except for true dual maps (advanced maps) and earlier maps matching your specs but for earlieryears are not close enough.
I'm afraid dyno tuning or tweeking for awhile is the only answer.
I actually have the early 8 degree bike, I got two maps from fuel moto but neither seemed to have any grunt at all. I am running a canned map now and its a little better. I know more is in it so I guess dyno is the only way to get it out.
Contact Fuelmoto and see what they can do for you. They are supposed to have great customer service. Just send them an Email. Give Jaime a good description of what it is doing and what your are looking for. Hopefully he can send you a new map or tell you what to tweak.
