Battery Issue (also in general section)
So I got a new battery in March. About amonth ago it didnt start when i got out of work. My dad came by my work & jumped the battery, he had a volt meter w/ him & while it was runing it said the battery was at 14.4 Volts so that to me says its charging. Saturday i took a ERC saftety class & Had to stop & start alot when i got home I washed the bike & was gonna go for a ride, but it didnt start again. So now im like WTF? I put it on the charger & wait for it to be fully charged, hooked up a volt meter w/ the bike off & its at about 12.8 V, I take off the spark plug wires & when i crank it it goes down to about 7 volts & died in about 10 seconds (when it read about 6 volts) . So im thinkin the battery is screwed up, my dad take the battery to his shop (hes a master mechanic) & does a load test on it & its GREAT! said it couldve started a car, so my question is does anyone know what it could be? It may be the stator but the battery voltage was at about 14.4 at idle, however we didnt check the amperage, thatll be tomm, im kinda pissed cause its 68 today & sunny, lol Any input is apprecaited
