Hello, I just bought a 2006 RK, only got 1050 miles on it and the person I got it from had the dealer install an se air filter, samson mufflers, and a sert.. I get alot of poppin in the exhaust when I decerate, I'm thinkin its running to lean? I have the sert and all the cables, is there any way to read what map they installed to see if it was the right one? This is my first harley with EFI so tryin to learn a little something. thanks for the help.
When you understand the instructions, you can access the ECM in, "Tuning Mode", and the first thing you see is what is in the ECM now. Gotta be in a tuning program so thats as far as I went at first. The next step is "Programing the ECM" so see below.
When I first didthe first part, that was all I did until I had read things again and though about things and thats a good way start. Baby steps.
One guy here added a good thing to do. Turning on the ignition switch turns on the lights. Fool around too long and battery goes low. Pull the light fuse while you do this. Can loose track of time.
All of the above is true, but you won't be able to see the map that's installed on the bike, only the part number. And that won't help unless it's a canned map. There are other reasons your bike will pop on decel, like an exhaust leak. As you figure it out you'll learn more about your ride. This is all part of the fun of owning a Harley you'd never experience with a Honda.
