Just finished a bobber using a 2000 Buell/Sportster motor. \\; Bike had EFI which was replaced with a 42mm Mikuni carb and the ignition was replaced with an ultima electronic ignition. \\; Bike starts fine but wont idle without the choke being out but I think that is a carb issue???. \\; I am not running a VOES. \\; Ultima says set timing to 35 degress BTDC and not 20 degrees. \\; Do I need a timing light to set the timing and what should it be set to and how? \\; Can it be set by ear? \\; Any help appreciated.
