ecm and pc3 help
well here is a long story short.. bike runs like sh%t. ordered a pc3 from jamie fmoto. bike has a 1550 stage1 download on a 06 superglide. jamie says he cant get me a map till i have the 1550stage taking off..he says i need a stock ecm setting so he can have a starting point to make a map..is this right.. i thought the pc3 over rights whats in the ecm..what do i need to do to get this bike to not surge and pop like crazy..i,ve tryed several maps and he says nothing is going to work on a 06dyna with a 1550 download..im wondering why the dealer did that on a 1450 bike..

When I first got my 06 dyna and a Sert I messed around with the different downloads a bit, if you have \\;a 1550 download in your 1450 bike I can pretty much bet it is \\;a slug, it should not be a problem to go to a dealer and have them flash it back to stock and then you can set up the power commander with fuelmoto's map.If you have a decent dealer they will not charge you for this service(good luck).

i just got off the phone with a dealer about 2hrs away and they will remove the 1550 flash but it will cost me 50bucks..im going to have it done but i wish the dealers would explain what there going to do to a bike before they do it..believe it or not i have been kinda fighting this bike since i bought it..im going to have it dynoed as soon as i can find some one to do it ..lol..seems i might be takin a trip to dayton ohio as adviced by doc but im hoping i can at leist get it 90% close without a dyno ...

at the advice of the dealer who is going to remove the 1550stage 1 flash, i removed the pc3 and hooked everything back the way it came. he told me i had to do that before they could remove the download...lol..hope he was right..anyway i hadnt road the bike with just the download and no piggyback for about 1yr and wow i forgot how much power that thing had..lol..it runs strong now but pops like someone is setting dynomite off behind me..lol..they told me i could ride the bike with the stock ecm setup till i got a new map and pc3 installed back..again hope they are right...
