It is not a for-sure thing, but if you avoid apostrophes, double-quotes, parentheses, and some other stuff you would normally use when writing, it seems to work a much higher-percentage of the time. Many of these characters are used for special purposes behind-the-scenes, so they have to get treated specially when parsing our input, and it is mainly that special-treating mechanism which is borked here. If you quote something someone has said, you will usually have to go through and remove those characters from their portion of your response, too.
