Sarge needs some plug/tuneup help..

Hey everyone, this is my first post here. My name is SGT Neil Schimke. I'm 11B in the Army stationed at Ft Lewis, WA. I recently bought a 2005 Sportster 1200C and I want to give it a little tune up. I got the plugs and wires from Harley, but I forget to ask about the gap on the plugs. The plugs are 6R12 which I think are stock Harley plugs.. Can anyone help me out?? And what about the torque on the plugs.. I'm also changing the oil,filter, and air filter but the woman at the parts counter gave me the wrong one.. Mine is round and the one I bought is square..lol

Spark plug gap is .040" . They usually come pre gapped, but it never hurts to check. Torque on the plugs is 12~18 foot pounds.
