I just got a 95 FXDWG and the guy i bought it from said he changed plugs every 10k. well i just hit 50k and changed plugs he always used hd plug but i put champion gapped at .040 and it runs great.
I have the SE air filter, exhaust, and ignition module and are upgrading the coil to and accel coil would it be best to use accel plugs or hd plugs with this

I have to ask why are you changing the coil....unless you have a high compression motor you will gain nothing from an Accel coil.
Champion make Harley plugs but they make the plug so it will expand a little further for the heat generated by the air cooled motor......a regular Champion plug can crack under these extream expansion rates which will cause a miss in the motor. This is just facts, I am not in anyway saying this will happen to you every time you install Champion Plugs, I ran them for years in the Shovel Head and Pan Head days without a problem but I am saying it is possible that you might experience a problem with a miss using the Champion Plug.
