contact your HD dealer that was the error message i recieved when i try to download a map from sert i was nervous of hearing that i need to change the ecm anyone can flush the ecm? need a lot of help here please

Have you check to see if the bike still runs?

 

Is this the first time you've used your SERT? Are you using a serial port adapter on a newer laptop that doesn't have an actual serial port, and also are you running Vista? Only certain adapters work properly like the Belkin, and I've heard that Vista can cause some problems.

 

yes the bike still runs from the old map

 

no i've used it a lot of times trying different map the pentium 133mhz laptop gave up and die so i have to use another laptop unfortunately running vista and theres no serial port so i used usb first attemp the bootloader didn't load up says the error second attemp error says your ecm does not accept programming access denied contact HD dealer

 

Get a Belkin USB to Serial adapter, I guarantee it'll work. I got the same "Bootloader" message when I tried another brand.

 

the older sert does not reliably work with vista, look for an xp pc with serial connector to reduce trouble. Find the final release of the sert software 4.77, some maps are reworked
