The cable issue is something we've gone over several times before but the general request was not to include them with the base kit. It would drive the price up for those who take the bike to a shop to have it tuned. Glens spelled it out pretty well in his post. Tuners for automobiles are not any cheaper when you go and buy one they are right in the $500 and up range.
As for the KeySpan adapter we do not know as we have not tested it here. If you have one you can give it a try and see if it works.
Why are these cables not included with the product? A buyer can specify which cable set they wish at time of purchase. That's like buying a car, but the engine is extra. The additional cost is almost like adding insult to injury. Tuners for cars, trucks or diesels are less $$. Anyway, IMO, the cables are a bit pricey for what they are. No flame intended here guys!
Who here can give me a good deal on this stuff, money is getting tight! The deals should be better than what's on the web..

Steve...why don't you make the TTS key USB without needing the adapter?
We could be then you have just the same problem with all the people that still use the serial port PC's. Times are changing and I'm sure that USB will stay around now but in what form still isn't settled down just yet. So far there have been several major changes in the way that USB works but at least there is only 4 styles of USB plugs so far to deal with!
The more I think about it, the more I question, why at least the cable to connect the TTS to the ECM isn't included......
The cables haven't came with the tuner since 2005...Harley is the one that started to remove the cables to charge extra for them...TTS didn't include them to keep the cost down on the Tuner....bottom line it has been this way for years and it's not going to change as far as I can see. If you have a friend with the older SERT borrow his cables...they will work.
