Question 08 Throttle by Wire Help!!

I am installing a new set of handle bars and purchased a new TBW part # 32310-08. This is a newer TBW then what was installed on my 2008 Roadglide. The wire coloring is different from what the factory originally installed. It didnt come with instructions on how to wire up the connector and which set of wires does what.

Can anyone help me with this problem?? I know I can call the dealer on Monday but thought I would ask if anyone else has run into this

Thanks

Tom

Not newer.... just a different version...

That is the kit for internally wired bars, like the CVO's....

Here is an excerpt from the Tech Tip #336

"...2008 Touring models are equipped with Electronic Throttle Control (ETC), which utilizes a Throttle Grip Sensor (TGS) in the right end of the handlebar. The handlebars are notched to retain the TGS and the integrity of the wiring is essential to the system operation. A one piece top clamp must be used for all 1” diameter handlebars.
For this reason the fitment and TGS combinations have been carefully laid out in the 2008 P&A catalog.
TGS part number 32305-08 is used in conjunction with TGS Harness p/n 70415-08
(shown in the picture below). This combination of parts is used on all Touring Models with
externally wired handlebar switches:
• All OE Touring models
• 2008 Touring models equipped with Tallboy P&A Handlebars (56184-08)
Throttle Grip Sensor Kit part number 32310-08 is used on Touring Models with internally
wired handlebar switches:
• All CVO Touring models
• 2008 Touring models equipped with P&A Road King Fat Handlebars (56032-08)
• 2008 Touring models equipped with Chrome Electra Glide Handlebars (56036-08)

The overall assembled length of TGS (32305-08) with TGS Harness (70415-08) is
approximately 43 inches. The CVO style TGS (32310-08) is approximately 43” but allows
more room within the bar for internal wiring.
The connectors between these two arrangements are different and not interchangeable, nor serviceable at the dealer level.
At this time no other P&A Jumper Harness exists to alter harness lengths to accommodate custom applications or vehicle alterations.

We advise against splicing or repairing the TGS or TGS Harness wiring in any way.
This type alteration may impact the circuit’s integrity or result in drive issues."
