Engine miss

My ride has developed an engine misss. Does not happen under load, just when cruising . It spits "pssst." Idles OK. I do not get any warning lights. Happens when the engine warms up, not cold. Battery, cables, and plugs are OK.Thanks for help.

Make sure all of your ignition/spark plug wires are on tight. Is you bike carbed or EFI?

If your bike is carbed, I would look at jetting as it may be a "lean miss". If it is EFI test your fuel pump & system then look into your intake sensors.

If your bike is EFI, check the wires connecting to the throttle ody.
HD calls it the wiggle test...the wires become brittle and crack (short)inside the sheathing. Use a thin wooden dowel or a chop stick from chinese take out to prod around under the fuel tank while the bike is running to determie if this is your problem

Always a good idea NOT to eat with the chopsticks after the test...
