that sounds like what exactly happens to my bike...in the mean time, I turned the idle up with the torx screw on the lower right.

lc1484, adjusting the lower right screw should only help when the bike has warmed up. The cold idle is almost totally controlled by the idle actuator.

Remapping should not be necessary UNLESS you loosen the adjustment screws and move your throttle position sensor (TPS) without following proper procedures. That could change the relationship of the TPS voltage signal per the percentage of throttle blade opening to the ECM that controls both fuel and spark. This is the most critical adjustment of any Harley type EFI system.
