Default Best Option?

If I should have searched I'm sorry but.....

After my dealer told me $1000 for a sert and tune, I'm second guessing doing any performance mods. Tho I know my bike would run much better, I cant contemplate spending that, at least not anytime soon.

What other legit options do I have? I already have pythons and want to get an intake. And its not that my bike runs bad now, I just know there's more there.

If you were to get a power commander that'll set you back around $200-250. A air cleaner is in the $100-125 range, and to dyno by me will cost $250, So your dealers price isn't that far off. I'm sure you could shave more off if you take time to shop around. You can dial the pc in yourself and then go for a dyno at alter time. Getting it set up on the dyno really woke up my '03 ultra.,

I'm not questioning the price, its just outa my budget right now. I'm more concerned about performance and what works best with the bike. If it is the SERT that works best then I'll just have to save.

But like I said, my real question is what is my best option?

Doherty Power pacc ($270.00) & Evo 30 tooth sprocket ($297.00)

And when you can, go with the TTS Mastertune instead of the SERT or SEST or what ever they call it these days.

TTS & cables is like ~430-480, you can tune it yourself and if you want to take it to have it Dyno tuned later by a pro you have that option as well.
