bike shut off in rain

I posted my problem in the model specific forums earlier figured I would try here. Have an 09 deluxe w thundermax ... bike was sitting in the rain at a show, On the way bike started to shut down on the highway id pull over start it up again then it would shut down... Had it in the shop guys couldnt find anything wanted to know if there might be something else I should check Thanks

Make sure all your ECM connection points are greased with Dielectric grease.

Sounds like water incursion.

+1 That pesky water can get in any of the engine management connectors and cause problems, or a loose ground can manifest itself in unusual ways, like this. If the shop found nothing, then the problem is probably intermittent, check for melted or worn insulation. Most of the time its the ECM connector, however. Use grease and a plastic bag.
