hdmaps.com
If you are going to download a map from hdmaps.com or from any source in fact, make sure you know how to check if your bike is not running efficiently before running with a new map for too long.
The maps on hdmaps.com are not dyno'd, they are modelled, and therefore may not necessarily be optimal.
Having said that...if you know your bike is not running optimal after downloading a map from hdmaps.com, drop Matt an email as he is really helpful, and will go out of his way to adjust if required.
I am no expert, but things to watch out for are:
bad colored plugs
missing on accel
poping/crackling on decel.
glowing red pipes (running too rich)
Feel free to add if I've left anything out.

Coloring of plugs is not a true indicator.....
I have dyno tuned bikes that had an AFR of 13.2 - 13.8 and the plugs were still white, and no deposits... Strong runner and effecient through the gears, with NO POPPING or FARTING....
Glowing Red pipes (Head).... 06 Dynas are prone to do this as their ECM programming is different and must be monitored with the o2 sensors..... Just idling, the head pipe will turn red/orange when close to op temp....
