Angry Will low (bad) Battery effect EFI?? 03 Roadking

My 2003 Roadking had to sit idle for a month. Would not start (click click of low battery). Push started and started okay. Now it is idleing super high and back firing. Will not idle down and has no power.

Does the battery being low (bad) impact the EFI?

Have not had the chance to check/charge/change the battery as I had to leave town again. Just trying to figure things out for when I get back to my bike.

Any thoughts?

It can.

There needs to be stable and sufficient battery power to manage the ECM.
If you do not have this, then any number of things can and will go wrong.

Put a full charge on it then see what becomes of it.

Thanks much. That was my thought but wanted confirmation. Ran great before it was parked. Then go for a ride and NO ride.

p.s. Keep those flags waving. Great background in your pic.

As cujo said it will effect the operation of the ECM. I know I am not the first to say it, but you may want to consider a battery tender.

Thanks... will do. We have a son in the Guard, a Daughter-in-law active duty,(mobing up for Afghanistan), and an adopted son currently on tour in Afghanistan. Uncle is a flight instr. - Grampa, 'nuther Uncle, and Father-in-law all retired from active & combat duty over the last several decades.
We're a proud bunch 'round here.
Those flags are from a PGR mission to honor a fallen Marine hero.

+1 on the battery tender.
Might want to think about a fuel stabilizer too if you plan on keep it parked for extended periods.
It'll help the insides from gumming up and varnishing, and it'll help keep moisture issues under control.
