Default Fly By Wire Throttle Failures
Has anyone lost there throttle and gone into limp mode. I have and I am looking for info. Is this an easy fix.

no....not yet anyways,but its something i have wondered about. i'll be watching this thread for sure.

My 09 street glide is in the shop right now because of this...dealer has replaced the twist grip sensor but no luck...when i find out what they find out i'll let you know...

The fix is always easy, it's the troubleshooting that can kick ya in the ***.

Just put in the new TBW sensor in the grip with no change STILL IN LIMP MODE and these codes

P0120 - P0123 - P0220 - P0223 - P1511 - P2135 - P2176.

If anyone can chime in with some help it would ne nice.

Hey Kandy-Red seems you and I share a commen problem.
1) Bike goes into limp mode.
2) Must be the TPS
3) Put in new TPS
4) No Change
5) Whats next

Would you mind sending me a PM I would like to compare notes maybe we can figue this out.

I spoke with the service guy today...ordering a new ECM...Hope this works..I'll keep ya posted.

Default Fly By Wire Throttle Failures
Thanks Kandy_Red I checked everthing, I changed the TPS, I checked the jumper wire from the TPS green clip to the inner fairing, I did it all but these damb electonic failures leave us at the mercy of the dealers. That is my next move, load the bike into the truck and a 3 hour drive to the dealers shop and most likely a g note to fix it and the suspect is the ECM.

Anyone know what it might cost to replace an EMC.
