I just purchased some aftermarket REAR turn signals that are dual filament. My goal is to have them on all the time (like the tail light) and then the brighter filament goes on when I turn on the signal.
* the bike is a 2000 FLSTF
* the way the signals come from HD - the front are like this but the rear only come on when the signal is actuated.
I am thinking I can splice the wire into the tail light but don't know which wire to splice into? Has anyone done this before?
The taillight assembly has three wires coming from it
1) Black
2) red and yellow
3) Blue
There is a module made by harley to make the turn signals running light and extra brake lights, the kit comes with red lenses to change out the yellow turn signals. It took 5 minutes to do the module and change the lenses. the part # for my bike is 69465-06 I have bullet style turn signals. Take a look and see if this is what you want. No splicing at all.
I have heard that HD has something like this, but I also heard it is not cheap. I was hoping there was a way to avoid this expense and simply slice into the tail light assembly.
