help with S.E.A/C kit

help with S.E.A/C kit
I'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right section(it's a mundane question compared to most discussions in this section),but here goes.
I'm getting S.E.mufflers & a/c together(buying off ebay,money's tight)& i've dropped a clanger on the s.e. a/c kit I bought.
The part no.is 29260-08 for an 08 & mine is an 07(both 96"),my question is will it just be the backing plate that's different,& if I buy the 07,backing plate that comes with kit part no.29773-02C,should I be able to use the filter & Cover off the kit I bought.
Hope someone can help i'd really like to keep the billet cover I bought.
