Default RE: PC III questions

I have heard that the PCIII boost the rev limit to 5500 rpm but I haven't checked.

Your bike, if I'm not mistaken, requires a O2 sensor eliminator. If I had a choice, personally, I would keep the O2 sensor because I plan on riding my Harley all over the county and the O2 sensor can tweak your fuel mixture for varying conditions >IF< (and that's a big if) the ECM that you are using takes readings from the 02 sensor. I do not know for sure if the PCIIIUSB has this ability (I don't think it does but since my bike doesn't have one I never checked). There are no maps for your particular configuration that I saw. You can read a document found on the powercommander web site called MAP SELECTION and it will be of some help, but you can also email their tech support and they will give you some guidance. They have a map that you can start with, it looks like to me, but then you will want to go in and enrichen the map at various throttle percent and rev stages to make up for your freer flowing pipes over stock pipes.

To do all of this through seat of the pants, checking how your bike runs, looking at plugs, and gas mileage takes some time, but it isn't impossible. In my case, my pciii is located where it's a pain in the butt to get to, so I went with one that is pretty close and am still debating about the merits of a $280 dyno pull. The "advanced" mode that tweaks timing and does different settings for each cylinder would not be something that I would want to do by the seat of my pants, that's for sure.

Go to the Power Commander website (http://www.powercommander.com/) and click on the map database. Chose Harley Davidson and then look for your model type and click on the 'details' link. You can then select for models with stock setup and locate the appropriate map.
