Electrical issue anyone???

Electrical issue anyone???
2009 Street Glide
Riding home Saturday 2 things happened...
1) Radio volume goes out.....later discovered ground to amp at battery broke off.
2) Pulled into gararge and shut off bike but the Tach and the speedo lights in the gauges stayed on.....They wouldnt go off for anything.
I then started pushing buttons on the handelbars and found out I can make the lights on the spedo and tach go off if I press the HORN button....YUP.....???????????????????????
So why would tach and speedo lights stay on when bike is off?
Why did pressing the horn button turn them off?
I since loosened the clutch perch and moved it around thinking I may have a shorted wire and the problem did stop. I dont know if it stopped because of moving the clutch perch or it just stopped......
Anyone who knows how to read the electrical schematics have any thoughts?? Thanks
