Got a tail light problem

Check inside the bulb socket, the little wire that HD provides for a connection may have corroded enough to not make a contact. If so. clean inside the socket and using a small pick move the contact wire inside the socket to the center. Use dielectric grease to prevent further issues.

I had a similar problem when I changed to LED bulbs. It turned out that the solder spots on the bottom of the bulb had one shorter than the other and it wasn't making contact. I added a little solder and then filed them straight across. That solved that problem, but I had another problem with one of the other bulbs and (Yes it was Import) the outer casing of the bulb was slightly smaller than the American bulb and it would make intermittent contact from being loose. I didn't want to start messing with the bulb socket that had worked just fine with American made products, so I just junked the import bulbs and went with American made and they all worked fine. Another lesson learned. Hope this helps.
