Battery running down
I just got a 94 Road King and absolutely love the bike. BUT, something is running the battery down, even while I'm riding. At the end of a short ride yesterday the speedo quit. Its my first non-cable driven speedo so I figured something was up. I parked it and came back 3 hrs later and there was not enough juice to engage the starter. The battery is new. Any ideas of what's going on?

Sounds like to me,the first thing you need to do is unhook the stator cable from the voltage regulator and use a voltage meter to see if your stator is charging.Should be at least 32 volts AC at 2,000 rpm.
