Bike runs rough pings knocks hard to start when hot

Default Bike runs rough pings knocks hard to start when hot
I have a 2000 R.King. When the bike is cold it starts right up first hit and runs good but as soon as it's been ridden for a while and gets hot,the bike runs rough back fires and it pings and knocks when you get into it.Engine lite comes on and it's hard to start. Back fires and it's hard to get started have to let it cool down and then starts right up. Need some answers please.

what kinda mileage is on your ride?
does it smoke at all?


could be a worn crank
could be worn lifters
could be worn wrist pins on the pistons

What kind of fuel you using? Should be 93 octane. Oil condition?
