Ok, I have been looking for a tuner for my 2011 Softail Heritage. I have talked with a lot of HD techs and dealers as well as people here on this site. I have narrowed it down to 3 tuners(PC-V, SESPT and TTS) and have made my choice from the 3.
I decided to go with the TTS, but now there is a problem. It seems there is not a TTS available for the 2011 softail model so I guess I will have to wait until it comes out. Does anyone know or have an idea when this will be available? I was told early spring, but it all depends on where you live when it comes to spring(March - May). I really wanted to install my pipes and A/C in early March.
I know I could go with the SESPT and probably be happy, but If I am going to spend the money I might as well get what I want.
The question I have is will it hurt my bike if I install the Pipes and A/C and run it like it is until the TTS comes available?
Articrider, can I ask what lead you to the TTS? Personally, I decided on the SEPST and I couldn't be happier. It was super easy to sync with the bike and loading maps is easy. I chose the SEPST because my DIY tuning will be done while I'm riding and as I understand the TTS needs To be connected to a laptop while you're recording. I'm just not comfortable having my laptop recording data while I'm riding. If I had access to a dyno it'd be a different story.
If you want too run with AC and pipes now, you can get a XIED, on sale now for $100 + $5 shipping, and you can use your parts now with no problem. Then, if you change to TTS, you can sell the Xied. Cheap fix and that's what I would do. [No connection to Xied].
