I have an 883c EFI. The bike has full power but will not start. You can hear the the fuel system pressurize when the engine button is turned on. However when I go to start the engine, nothing happens. not even the starter will engage. The odometer readout shows nothing. Usually it will show the milage data when the bike is turned on. Does anyone have any suggestions or had this problem before?
1---I would shake some wires around and see if anything happens, nothing showing up on the speedo makes me think something is loose.
2--- Bike has full power, have you load tested the battery or just charged it?
3---Checked your fuses under the panel that hides your battery?
4--- Get a service manual for these types of things, best $60 you'll spend. Keep us posted.
this morning i tried to run the diagnostic on the bike. it seems that the whole gauge iteself is not getting power. could not get the needle to sweep and the gauge was not lit up. The battery should be fine, been riding it for a while. havent done a charge. I played with some some of the cables but could not get the gauge to work.
I have the manual, however i am in the middle of a move so its in a box somewhere. guess i should find it and look at the wiring to see which fuses support the instrument gauge.
