My wife has a 2005 Softail Deluxe. Runs great starts great but..... we have had a s**tty spring and she hasn't had much chance to get out so when the bike sits for 3-4 weeks the the battery is dead. It can sit for up to 10 or 12 days and it starts fine but any longer and something has drained the battery.
No it doesn't have a security system so the only thing with power when the switch is off would be the memory in the speedo that draws almost no power at all.
She has a volt gauge and I noticed after the bike sits for a day or two when it starts the voltage only goes to 10V but after it is revved a couple times it climbs to the normal 13+V. The stator and rotor have been checked, putting out fine, and the regulator checks out fine but I am wondering if this small a leak would show up in a test. I am thinking the Regulator is showing signs of going bad.
