Custom Build Harley(drag engine) Coil problems.

Custom Build Harley(drag engine) Coil problems.
I've got a Custom build harley with a 2 liter Evo Engine.
All of a sudden while cruising down the highway, the engine lost throttle and i stopped. everything looked okay, fuel was ok, start engine was ok. only the sparkplugs didn't spark. it has happened before that the ignition coil died on me.
Can one of you harley fanatics help me out with troubleshooting this issue?
(i'm a bit of a noob and need to get a bit up to speed with harley troubleshooting, So please have some patience with me.)
the coil is of the brand : Compu Fire (high kilovolt high energy ratin), and the model is a hd2.
Can you guys get me up to speed on what might cause this issue? And how i can trouble shoot this? I can take some pictures if you want.
